I have personally selected a dozen of my best cat officers and they have been beamed to the surface in different Earth districts. I am anxiously awaiting their reports.

Have beamed down without incident. If things here are any indicative, invasion will be easier than expected. After a couple of Earth-hours, I had already been taken into one of their homes. The HEW-MAANS live into units called families. They come in various shapes and colors and sizes, but originate from the same source. Much like us, in fact, minus the beauty and intelligence.

The HEW-MAANS here seem to believe that I am one of their Gods, which they call: SIAMEEZ. Reports from other Away Team members indicate that this is not an isolated incident. Hew-mans seem to also have developed a sub-language to talk to their deities, mostly consisting of " Goo-goos " and " Gaa-gaas " and various other strange sounds, which I believe to be ancient tribal magic incantations. I have yet to understand their content, but when addressed to me, they seem potent enough to have me start purring.

Our leaders have made a wise decision when choosing this particular planet to make our new home. Food and drink are plentiful, and readily available. My HEW-MAANS feed me a sort of dried brown kibble. Spectrum analysis confirmed that the kibbles are packed with nutrients. They are dreadfully lacking in taste, though. HEW-MAANS, on the other hand, eat sweet-smelling and tasty food. I have managed to sample some of it to the dismay of the Alpha female of the unit.

HEW-MAANS are incredibly primitive and thrive on high levels of adrenaline. They willingly keep dangerous creatures in their homes; last night, the Alpha female opened a jar and fished something out of it. She immediately threw it on the floor in my direction, shrieking at me to catch it. I pawed the creature, it rolled quickly away from me. It was a little green elongated sphere of organic matter with a hole in it filled with a folded strip of red paste. I ran after it. After a long struggle, I finally overpowered the beast, and killed it with one sharp bite. It was very tasty, and once again, I found myself rolling on the floor and purring. I later found out that Hew-mans call this evil beast : OLEEV.
