After reading about making homemade cat scratch posts etc I remembered that my other half Paul made our first scratch after buying our first seal point and Siamese cross cats.

All he used were 3 square pieces of mdf wood, 3 sample carpet tiles that you can buy from any diy store and carpet stores and 3 blocks of ply wood. The carpet tiles were then nailed to the mdf the blocks of wood were screwed to the covered mdf pieces and we had some thick rope in the garage which he wrapped around the blocks and secured with strong carpet glue. And there you have a 2 story scratch tower.

All for about £12.00 depending where you buy your wood from and I added a wool ball on a wool rope for them to play with.

Best of all is that the cats love sitting and scratching to their hearts content.
